Punjabi singer-politician Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu aka Sidhu Moose Wala was brutally killed on 29 May 2022. The incident happened a day after his security was scaled down.
According to the state police, Canada-based Goldy Brar and jailed gangsters. Lawrence Bishnoi has been named responsible for the killing. Brar took to his social media account to claim responsibility.
The killing reportedly is revenge for Akali leader Vicky Middukhera’s murder last year. Lawrence Bishnoi gang alleged that Moosewala had directed his manager Shagunpreet Singh to execute Middukhera’s murder.
However, Moose Wala was constantly criticized for allegedly promoting gun culture in his songs as well as for hurting religious sentiments.
Despite his controversial stature, he had a huge fan base.

Playback singer KK passed away on 31st May 2022 while performing at a concert at the Nazrul Manch in Kolkata. The 53-year-old had posted pictures from the concert on an Instagram account just hours before his death.
A video of KK Sweating from his last concert is making rounds on the internet. The AC was allegedly not working at Nazrul Mancha. KK was rushed to CMRI hospital after the concert nut was reportedly brought dead. The singer stood till his last breath.
May Events 2022: India at Cannes film Festival 2022

The 75th edition of the Cannes Film Festival opened with glitz and glamour as one of the most anticipated events of the year returned in high-wattage form after the Covid-19 rules were relaxed. The prestigious film festival, which was held between May 17 and May 28, chose India as the ‘country of honour’ at the Marche du Cinema. This year, six Indian films were officially screened, with actress Deepika Padukone joining the group of the top jury at the Cannes film festival.
On the opening day, a delegation from India, led by I&B Minister Anurag Thakur, walked the red carpet. Thakur was joined by Ricky Kej, R Madhavan, Vani Tripathi, Shekhar Kapur, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Prasoon Joshi as they represented India. Moreover, many Indian social media influencers also shined at Cannes 2022.
May Events 2022: Taj Mahal or Tejo Mahalaya
‘Open 22 rooms in Taj Mahal’, this is the petition filed by BJP media in charge of Ayodhya, Dr. Rajneesh Singh. Petitions filled in Allahabad high court seek a fact-finding inquiry into the history of the Taj Mahal.
Hindu groups have been claiming that the Taj Mahal, is an old Shiva Temple which was known as Tejo Mahalaya. The petition stated that 22 permanently locked rooms of the four-storied building of Taj Mahal lay a temple of Shiva.
The Mughal Era monument is protected by the Archaeological Survey of India. Singh filed an RTI in 2020 with the Union Ministry of Culture. The reply stated that the rooms are locked due to security reasons.
Several right-wing outfits have claimed in the past the Taj Mahal was a Lord Shiva temple.
