A few days back, hoarding at Ghatkopar in Mumbai fell down during the dust storm and subsequent heavy rainfall. As per the reports, 16 people lost their lives in the accident. According to updates it is said that Kartik Aaryan’s relative i.e Manoj Chansoria and Anita Chansoria also among the ones who lost their lives.
The bodies retrieved were reportedly taken out and recovered from the vessel on Wednesday in an almost unrecognisable/decomposed shape, 2 days after the incident, as per the Express report. Kartik’s relations were in Mumbai to process their visas as they were supposed to travel to the United States to visit their son Yash. But on monday, while Yash didn’t manage connect with his parents as their phone were not showing reachable, he asked his neighborhood friends and authorities who brought their bodies back home.
The statement said that their son had been trying to reach them since 5 p. m. on May 13. Anand tried to reach Manoj but could not so he called Anita’s phone as well. Since he did not answer, he called Manoj’s colleagues who provided him help.

The second part of the report asserted that Kartik’s uncle Manoj Chansoria who retired as Air Traffic Control General Manager and aunt Anita made the noticed pub visits on May 13, 2024 at a petrol pump of Mumbai. The flight plan states that they should have been back in Jabalpur from Mumbai by passing through Indore on the same day. At that day, as the winds picked up speed, the downpour intensified and violent storms raged on in Mumbai, the thirty-tonne hoarding that was propped above the fuel station fell down onto their red SUV.

A friend belonging to their late family told that they had been cremated at Sahar Cremation society on Thursday. Moreover, Kartik, too, was part of the ceremony.
The allowed dimensions of the hoarding were 40×40 feet. It is unauthorized construction with floor size of 120×120 square feet. However, Bhavesh Prabhudas Bhinde, owner of the hoarding, was caught by the police during this time.
