Instagram: Introduces New Feature For Content Creators
Instagram: Content Creators Can Utilize Trial Reels To Explore Fresh Subjects For Non-Followers
Instagram: users can view performance insights for their Trial Reels within 24 hours
Instagram, which is owned by Meta, has introduced a new feature named Trial Reels, permitting users to share content with non-followers to assess its performance. The function is intended for creators to try out content beyond their typical niche. Though it’s presently accessible solely to professional accounts, it’s restricted to certain creators who lack one.
About trial reel
In a document, Meta explained that although followers won’t view the Trial Reels in their primary feed, they might encounter them elsewhere, like in direct messages (DMs) or on pages featuring the same audio, location, or filter. Since Trial Reels aim to attract an audience outside of your followers, they might take more time to accumulate views. Nonetheless, Instagram assured users that these reels will not impact the performance of their standard content, as they are excluded from the platform’s ranking system.

When you share a Trial Reel, it won’t show up in your followers’ feeds, the Reels tab, or your main grid unless you opt to go public with the “Share to everyone” setting. Instagram additionally mentions that users can view performance insights for their Trial Reels within 24 hours following posting.
How to use trial reel
To post a Trial Reel on Instagram, begin by making your reel and, prior to sharing, switch on the “Trial” feature. Next, press the Share button to publish it. If the reel does well and you wish to make it visible to all users, you can click on the “View trial insights” button in the reel viewer and choose the “Share to everyone” option.
To enable automatic sharing with your followers, navigate to the publish screen after making the reel, and select the “How it works” option beneath the Trials toggle. Next, turn on the “Automatically share with everyone” option and press “Got it” to confirm your choice. Remember that these configurations will affect all upcoming Trial Reels unless you adjust them yourself.
