The second phase of VIVO Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 finally resumed in Dubai after it was halted midway due to increasing Covid-19 cases in the country.
IPL Matches are being played at Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi with limited seating availability and ensuring the Covid-19 protocols and the regulations from UAE government.

CHENNAI SUPER KINGS THRASHED MI BY 20 RUNS.
The five-time champions and current title holders Mumbai Indians didn’t shine in the first game of the UAE-leg of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 when three-time IPL champions Chennai Super Kings thrashed MI by 20 runs.
Chennai Super Kings prepared a target of 157 runs in match against Mumbai Indians after their opener Ruturaj Gaikwad amazingly added 88 runs to his name when all other batsmen failed to display their show.
And now with this win, MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings have topped the points table with 12 points in 8 matches. While defending champions Mumbai Indians still placed at the fourth spot with 8 points.
At first, it seem like a collapse from Chennai Super Kings but outstanding batting from Ruturaj Gaikwad rescued the team with his top class 88-run knock. Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians in response lost the early wickets and failed to cope up with the run rate. What a game it was. !!
WHY MS DHONI GOT MAD AT DWAYNE BRAVO
Perhaps you have known MS Dhoni who is one of the calmest captains in the business, but he too lost his cool during an on-field confusion with Dwayne Bravo that led to a dropped catch in a match against Mumbai Indians.
Bravo was well-positioned to take the catch whereas Dhoni had to make ground and realising that he has the gloves, Dhoni sprinted for it, but eventually, it was spilled. Dhoni, who is famous for setting high standards for himself on the field, was not happy with the effort and fumed at his dear friend – Bravo.

Chakravarthy & Andre Russell took 3 wickets each, while Lockie Ferguson picked up 2 wickets and Prasidh Krishna picked up the needed wicket of Kohli and shared the fun when Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) thrashed Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by nine wickets in the Match 31 of the VIVO Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 held in Abu Dhabi on Monday.
Shubman Gill was dismissed at 48, but the damage was already done. Venkatesh Iyer who scored 41 finished things off in style helping Kolkata Knight Riders chased down the total of 93 in 10 overs with 9 wickets in hand.
It was 200th IPL game for Virat Kohli.

It was Kartik Tyagi’s outstanding last over which did the unthinkable that overpowered Arshdeep Singh’s maiden 5-wicket haul in IPL Match 32 when Rajasthan Royals (RR) sealed an ultimate victory from the jaws of defeat against Punjab Kings (PBKS).
In this match, Agarwal shot his 10th IPL fifty and crossed the 2000-run mark whereas Rahul became the second fastest to score 3000 IPL runs.
However, RR easily managed to dismiss the PBKS openers in the space of 2 overs.

FINED FOR MAINTAINING SLOW OVER RATE
Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson was fined after his team maintained a slow over rate during this IPL 2021 match against Punjab Kings on September 21.
However, according to IPL, this was his team’s first offence of this season and the IPL’s Code of Conduct relating to minimum over rate offences, Mr Samson was fined Rs 12 lakh.
Sunrisers Hyderabad player tests positive; six close contacts isolated
T Natarajan of Sunrisers Hyderabad tested positive for COVID-19 in a scheduled RT-PCR test. It has been informed that the player has isolated himself from the rest of the squad and is currently asymptomatic.
As per sources, the rest of the players/close contacts test reports came negative.

DELHI CAPITALS BEAT SUNRISERS HYDERABAD BY 8 WICKETS
The fearsome attack from Delhi Capitals (DC) was too much too handle for Sunrsiers Hyderabad (SRH). Shreyas Iyer, Shikhar Dhawan and captain Rishabh Pant’s contribution with the bat helped Delhi Capitals (DC) to put up a Grand-Show, thrashing Sunrisers Hyderabad by 8 wickets to reclaim top spot in IPL Points Table in VIVO Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 Match 33 held in Dubai on Tuesday.
It was the 7th loss for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL tournament and Delhi Capitals was back on top of the points table. However, Sunrisers Hyderabad remained at the bottom of the table and chances are they may now almost out of the playoff Race.

KOLKATA KNIGHT RIDERS BEAT MUMBAI INDIANS BY 7 WICKETS TO MOVE INTO TOP-FOUR IN THE POINTS TABLE
Rahul Tripathi and Venkatesh Iyer’s outstanding performance with the bat impressed everyone when Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) thrashed Mumbai Indians (MI) by 7 wickets in Match 34 held in Abu Dhabi on Thursday.
Iyer incredibly shot his maiden IPL fifty & Tripathi slammed an unbeaten 74 off 42 balls completing his half-century seventh in the IPL tournament as KKR easily chased down the target leaving 4.5 overs to spare.

KKR FINED 24 LAKHS FOR MAINTAINING A SLOW OVER RATE
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) were fined after the team maintained a slow over rate during their IPL match against Mumbai Indians on September 23 in Abu Dhabi.
KKR captain Eoin Morgan was fined Rs 24 lakhs because this was the team’s second offence of the season under the IPL’s Code of Conduct relating to minimum over rate offences.
However, the remaining team members were each fined lesser of either Rs 6 lakhs or 25% of their individual match fee.

MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings regained the top spot in the standings with 11 balls and 6 wickets to spare, an emphatic win against Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore in Match 35 of IPL 2021 on Friday.
CSK came out aggressively to put pressure, with the help of openers Ruturaj Gaikwad (38) and Faf du Plessis (31) who contributed 71 runs for the first wickets along with Dwayne Bravo who delivered the goods with the ball.
