New Delhi District Administration organizes Maskfie contest to encourage usage of masks
New Delhi District Administration has taken innovative steps to enforce COVID appropriate behavior in residents of the District. Apart from displaying IEC material regarding precautionary measures, the Administration has come up with interesting campaigns e.g. Maskfie Contest.
Keeping in mind the popularity of selfies in youth, Maskfie (Mask Selfie) contest aims at spreading awareness and emphasizing the importance of wearing masks, following physical distancing and maintaining hand hygiene among citizens.
The contest is open to all residents of Delhi of all age groups. The contestant is expected to post a mask selfie on his/her twitter account and tag the official twitter account of DM New Delhi (@DMNewDelhi) including the hashtags and message “Wear Masks, Follow Physical Distancing and Maintaining Hand Hygiene” which is like an anthem in spreading COVID-19 awareness.
A 3-member committee shall judge the entries with DM New Delhi as the Chairperson and two members including Ms. Shakuntala, NDMC and Mr. Shahzeb, NULM. Winners shall be announced on Sunday on the Official Account of DM New Delhi by retweeting the winner tweet.
The winner’s maskfie shall be put up on NDMC billboards and LED screens and shall be declared as the Youth Icon for COVID awareness in the District.
