This is not the first time when a journalist is targeted by the netizens. India Today media group and anchor Rahul Kanwal was also attacked by the troll army when they exposed an ABVP member in the JNU violence case that took place on 5th December.
Another senior journalist, Ravish Kumar is a frequent target of trolls on Twitter. He even got life-threat on social media and abusive languages against him are not new.
Arnab Goswami was trolled a month back for not replying to questions asked by the comedian Kunal Kamra. The incident gave birth to various political debates as Kunal Kamra was banned by the Indigo Airlines, Air India.
