10 tweets that sum up the #9bje9minutes lighting event!
#9bje9minutes was super successful but again some stupid people ruined it
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday morning appealed to the people of India to switch of their lights at their homes and light up Diyas, candles, Torchlight and Mobile Flashlight on their doorstep or in their balcony on Sunday, 9 pm for 9 minutes.
As expected, people of all religions, caste, ethnicity, race, creed, color came together to dispel the darkness spread by the COVID-19 and give hope to everyone who is fighting against the deadly outbreak.
However, again some stupid people burnt firecrackers and marched on the street in a group holding torchlight and defying the social distancing rules. They did it despite PM Modi’s instructions to not get out of their homes.

When we took the risk of calling few people stupid, we probably had these people in mind. They seem to care a bit too much.
