MiG-21 and Reason for Crash

The MiG-21 is a fighter plane that is operated by the Indian Air Force. It is one of the mainstays of combat operations that is used by the Air Force. It has been in use for more than five decades and is on the verge of being phased out as India plans to build and enhance its combat capabilities.

After the crash, the IAF grounded the entire fleet of MiG-21 for proper checks. They are still trying to understand the exact reason for the crash and investigate further into the matter.

The MiG-21 fleet has been grounded till the investigations are carried out and reasons for the crash are ascertained” said a senior defence officer

This is not the first instance of the MiG-21 crashing and many such incidents have been reported in the past. Hence, it is important to keep a check on these planes before it causes more harm.
