Allergy issues are caused by major pollutants such as dust, pollen, toxic gasses, and particle matter (PM). Because PM 2.5 particles can enter the lungs’ bronchioles and alveoli deeply, they are thought to be the most dangerous. PM 2.5 particles have a diameter of less than 2.5 micrometers. Skin barrier failure might result from them penetrating the skin, Dr. Sandeep Nayar noted.

He went on to discuss the negative effects that dangerous gases like sulfur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, and ozone (O3) have on human health. These gasses have the potential to harm the skin’s barrier and microbiota. He went on to say, “Ozone directly damages the airway epithelium, resulting in inflammation, increased airway epithelial permeability, and loss of ciliary function.”
