Eye Trouble during the Monsoon Season
Conjunctivitis: Also known as pink eye it is a kind of infection that affects the eyes primarily by bacteria and /or viruses.
Some of them are redness, swelling, yellow creamy discharge, and burning feelings. All these are known to be worsened by humidity.
Advice: These are measures against touching face, especially eyes, washing of hands frequently, and attempting not to look at hands. A visit to the ophthalmologist physician at the onset of the earliest manifestations is recommended.
Eyelid Infections: High temperatures and high humidity levels cause a raise in the instances of relative eyelid
Infections like styes or chalazions are a part of dermatological conditions that affect the quality of one’s eyesight depending on their severity.
Advice: However, it is best to refrain from touching or scratching the eyes and it is equally wise not to share combs, toothbrushes, and other items that are used on the face or head.
Darcyocystitis: This is a condition that results from the blockage of tear ducts that flows from eye to the nasal area thus causes microbial infection, inflammation and pain to the inner part of the eye.
