Supermodel Gigi Hadid was recently in news, not because of her fashion shows, but because she was recently arrested for possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia in Cayman Islands.

While travelling to UK’s Cayman Islands from the United States, she was found with some weed and smoke utensils in her bag. This was caught during custom check at the Owen Roberts International Airport. Gigi and her friend were arrested for ‘importation of weed and importation of utensils to smoke the weed’, even though they had got it for personal use.

The supermodel and her friend were also fined 1,000 dollars as they pleaded guilty. They were released after this and no conviction was reported on Gigi’s record.
Though the supermodel gave no statement, she was back and active on Instagram, posting photos with her friends and enjoying holidays. Her picture post was captioned ‘All’s well that ends well’.
Gigi Hadid is an American model and television personality. She is extremely popular and is one of the highest paid models in the industry. She is a spokesmodel for Maybelline and has represented many others big brands. She has also been a part of many music videos and won the 2018 Teen Choice Awards.
