“Nasrallah will no longer be able to terrorize the world,” the IDF stated, warning that further actions could follow against anyone threatening Israeli citizens. Hezbollah’s rocket attacks included a strike on Kibbutz Kabri using Fadi-1 rockets, which Hezbollah claimed was in defense of Lebanon.
Nasrallah’s daughter, Zainab, was reportedly killed in the strikes, though this remains unconfirmed by Hezbollah. The attacks also claimed the life of Ali Karake, Hezbollah’s southern front commander.
Nasrallah held immense power in Lebanon, particularly among Shiite supporters, and was seen as the key figure in either waging war or brokering peace. His death follows 32 years as Hezbollah’s Secretary-General, during which he was accused of orchestrating attacks that resulted in numerous Israeli and civilian deaths.
The strikes have killed over 700 people in Lebanon and displaced 118,000. Lebanon’s health ministry ordered the evacuation of hospitals in southern Beirut in preparation for further escalations
