“False Propaganda”: Benjamin Netanyahu Denied Hamas’ Claim Of Releasing Hostages

Hamas claimed to have offered more captives in exchange for their release, which Israel dismissed as "false propaganda." Israel and Hamas were at odds, resulting in deaths and humanitarian issues in the region.

Hamas claimed to release two more hostages for humanitarian reasons, but Benjamin Netanyahu refused to accept them

Israel has denied a claim made by Hamas that it declined to accept two more hostages that the Palestinian militant group offered to free for humanitarian reasons, calling it “false propaganda.”

On Friday, the same day they released American mother Judith Tai Ranaan and her daughter Natalie, the militant group informed Qatar of their plans to release two additional hostages, according to Abu Ubaida, a spokeswoman for Hamas.

Abu Ubaida later declared that Hamas was prepared to release the two on Sunday “using the same procedures” used to release Judith and Natalie.

In response to the assertion made by the militant group, Israel’s office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said: “We will not refer to false propaganda by Hamas” and added that Israel “will continue to act in every way to return all the kidnapped and missing people home.”

During their brutal attack on southern Israel on October 7, Hamas militants killed more than 1,400 people, including children, women, and foreigners, and kidnapped almost 210 others.

Israel declared war on the Gaza-based Palestinian militant group Hamas in retaliation for its atrocities there, and hundreds of airstrikes were carried out. Since October 7, Israeli airstrikes have claimed the lives of over 4,000 Palestinians.

According to reports, after Qatar’s intercession, the release of two American hostages was achieved. Qatar, meanwhile, has not responded to Hamas’ assertion that it has offered to release more hostages.

India extends humanitarian support:

However, India sent humanitarian aid to the Palestinian city of Gaza on Sunday, which has been blocked by Israeli forces for two weeks following the outbreak of war between Israel and the Islamist group Hamas. “An IAF C-17 flight carrying nearly 6.5 tonnes of medical aid and 32 tonnes of disaster relief material for the people of Palestine departs for El-Arish airport in Egypt,” the Ministry of External Affairs announced in a post on X (formerly known as Twitter). Among the products are important life-saving medicines, surgical items, tents, sleeping bags, tarps, sanitary utilities, and water purification tablets.”
