The head of the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), Richard Gould, shared his excitement about this upcoming match. He mentioned how important it is to help Zimbabwe’s cricket grow and how they want to have strong relations with the country. Gould said, “We want to be friends with Zimbabwe Cricket. This Test match is a step toward that goal. Even though there’s a lot of cricket already, we’re interested in playing more Test matches and including more countries.”

Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) was really happy about this news. Givemore Makoni, who manages ZC, thanked the ECB for wanting to reconnect through cricket.
