Philip Tsotsos, a Canadian man, has filed a lawsuit against 16 former co-workers, alleging they denied him his rightful share of a $1 million lottery win. The group had been participating in a ticket pool for seven years and hit the jackpot with a Max Lotto ticket in 2021. While each of the 16 friends received $62,500, Philip was left empty-handed. In his civil suit, he claims to be the seventeenth winner and seeks $70,000 plus costs and interest.

Lawsuit Filed:

Philip expressed deep hurt, as he considered the defendants his friends and had treated them like family. He insists that he was close to some of them, despite not knowing everyone in the syndicate due to some being from another workplace. However, the defendants have a different stance, denying any close friendship with Philip, stating that some were merely co-workers, and others didn’t know him at all.

Determined to pursue justice, Philip vowed not to back down until he sees the case through, feeling betrayed by those he once trusted. He lamented the sudden change in their attitude, feeling like he went from being a friend to a stranger overnight in their eyes.
