It’s Yami Gautam’s Birthday, A Woman Who Is Real, Raw & Rooted
Celebrating Yami Gautam’s Birthday, a woman who followed her heart
Yami Gautam is evolving every year as an actor and as an individual. With every release, she leaves us amazed with her phenomenal performance in the film. And the best thing about her is she is not afraid of accepting her failures. 2019 was a game-changing year for her. She was on top of her game with hits like Uri and Bala. In a decade-old career, Yami has been a part of many projects. She carved a niche for herself, keeping in mind she didn’t have any godfather. But she got her due in 2019 when Bala and Uri happened many years after her debut. But what makes us adore her is her perspective towards life, career, and family.

Beginning of her journey
She was just 20 when she moved to Mumbai to work on her dreams. She hails from Himachal, and she is proud of that fact. Yami was brought up in Chandigarh. She started off her journey with television. Yami was first seen on a television show called Chaand Ke Paar Chalo. She later played the lead in a television show, Yeh Pyaar Na Hoga Kam. The show was critically acclaimed. After that, she started her Bollywood career. Yami made her debut with Vicky Donor in the year 2009, which went on to become a massive hit. Things weren’t easy after that. But she believed a Friday Failure could not take away her confidence. Yami kept working with the same passion and gave her heart and soul to every project she encountered.
She accepts her Failures like a boss. But she is thankful to everyone who offered her work – Oh Yami, we love you for that!
Frustration is natural when you don’t get your due credit for longer. But that wasn’t the case with Yami Gautam. She believes Bala and Uri were worth the wait. She feels blessed to be a part of these projects and has spoken multiple times about her failures in the past. And she gracefully admits it. What all of us can learn from her is to be thankful for every opportunity that comes our way. Yami believes whatever work she has done, she is grateful for it. She had no regrets about filming choices during her early days in Bollywood.
She is rooted AF- Another thing to learn. A supportive family can help you achieve anything in life.

If you look at her Instagram profile, you will know how much she loves her family. During an interview, she said, “I have no regret for not having a godfather in the industry. Agar mere paas woh hota, toh shayad yeh family nhi hoti.” In another interview with Anupama Chopra, she mentioned how her family supported her during her struggling days. Yami is private, but her pictures with her family prove she is rooted AF. This is one thing we should learn from her. No matter where you reach, your family should always be your priority. And if you have a supportive family, half of the battle is already won.
She even chose to have a simple wedding at her native place, following all the protocols of COVID. She kept her customs and rituals over a lavish wedding.
Vibrant, Positive and colorful, her aura is magnetic
We have to say this! Yami has a very positive aura. She is very subtle, soft-spoken, and equally confident as a person. All her interviews are full of positive energy and a message: “You need to keep putting effort with the same energy until you get your due.”
On the work front, Yami was last seen in the film ‘Dasvi‘, and her upcoming projects include ‘Oh My God 2’ and ‘Lost’.
