“Yaariyan 2” Box Office Debut: A Film That Tells the Tale of a Few Cousins – Opening Collection ₹60 Lakh, Battling “Ganapath” – A Start That Ignites Family Drama at the Box Office.
Yaariyan 2’s Day 1 Box office collection, the sequel to Divya Khosla’s 2014 directorial, a romantic comedy starring Divya Khosla, Meezaan Jafri, and Pearl V Puri, didn’t make a strong start. It managed to collect around ₹60 lakhs on its opening day, with an occupancy rate of 5.65 per cent, as reported by Sacnilk.com. The film faced competition from Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon’s “Ganapath,” which performed slightly better.
Yaariyan 2’s Storyline
The movie explores the dynamics of close-knit cousins and how their relationships are tested when one of them decides to tie the knot. Divya Khosla Kumar plays Ladli, whose wedding brings about changes and challenges in her bond with her cousins. The film also features Yash Daasguptaa, Anaswara Rajan, Warina Hussain, and Priya Varrier.

“Yaariyan 2” is directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Divya Khosla Kumar, and Aayush Maheshwari under the banner of T-Series Films. Divya Khosla Kumar had previously directed the successful first instalment in 2014.
