About The Kashmir Files
In 2022, Vivek Agnihotri’s film, “The Kashmir Files,” achieved significant success as one of the highest-grossing movies. The film, written and directed by Vivek, portrays the exodus of Kashmiri Hindus from the region in the 1990s. Starring Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumar, Mithun Chakraborty, and Pallavi Joshi, among others, it was produced by Pallavi Joshi, Abhishek Agarwal, and Zee Studios. Despite generating controversy, the film emerged as a sleeper hit, crossing ₹250 crore at the Indian box office—the first Hindi film to achieve this milestone since the Covid-19 pandemic began.
About Radhe Shyam
In contrast, Radhe Shyam, directed by Radha Krishna Kumar, presented a multi-lingual love story set in 1970’s Europe, with Prabhas playing a palmist who falls for Pooja Hedge’s character. The film received unfavorable reviews and performed poorly at the box office.
Meanwhile, Vivek Agnihotri is preparing for the release of The Vaccine War, featuring Nana Patekar, Anupam Kher, Raima Sen, and Sapthami Gowda. Produced by Pallavi Joshi, the movie explores Indian bio-scientists and their pioneering indigenous vaccines. It is scheduled to hit the theaters in 11 languages on Dussehra 2023.
