Renowned for her exquisite style sense and breathtaking beauty, Vidya Balan once again dazzled us with her body-positive wardrobe. She was present at the marriage of Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Mukesh and Nita Ambani, and his sweetheart, Radhika Merchant, on July 12, 2024. Vidya and her spouse Siddharth Roy Kapur arrived, and as soon as they entered the venue, they looked like the cutest couple ever.

Vidya selected a specially made costume for the event from the plant-dyed clothing line Re Ceremonial. In respect to the Siddhivinayak temple, she donned an Indira Assi Kali ghagra in a beautiful shade of yellow. The designers claim that the marigold flowers provided by the temple were used to tint the ghagra. The 24-meter ghera of the silk cotton chanderi ghagra was surrounded with metal lampi gota, giving it a Bundi Rajputani appearance.
The song “Assi Kali Ro Ghaghro,” sung by Indra Dhavasi, inspired the name of Vidya’s ghagra. She wore it with a hand-embroidered Gulrez choli with glass and thread beadwork and metal gota edging on the sleeves. In addition to requiring more than 100 hours to complete, the choli was also dyed with marigold flowers from the Siddhivinayak temple.
Vidya added a few simple but eye-catching accents to her look. She accessorized with a traditional hairpin, a matching maang teeka, and statement earrings with exquisite pearl and jewel craftsmanship. Her makeup was subtle yet elegant, featuring accentuated and flushed cheeks, outlined eyebrows, delicate eyeliner, a small bindi, and pale pink lips. She finished off her sophisticated appearance with a well-groomed braid embellished with gajra. Vidya Balan’s presence at the wedding showcased her distinct style and grace, combining modern elegance with tradition in the ideal way.
