Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video: A Quirky Comedy with a Twist
A quirky comedy where a stolen honeymoon video leads to chaos, laughs, and unexpected twists
Vicky and Vidya’s honeymoon video is stolen, leading to a chaotic, humorous search for it
Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video is a fun-filled comedy with an unusual storyline, starring Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri in the lead roles. Vicky, a professional mehndi artist, and Vidya, a doctor, come from different worlds but fall in love and marry in the scenic town of Rishikesh. Rather than following traditional customs, the newlyweds secretly embark on a honeymoon to Goa, filming a romantic video to show their families later. However, their plans go awry when their home is robbed, and the VCD player, which holds their private video, is stolen.

The film follows Vicky and Vidya’s frantic search for the stolen video while introducing several quirky characters. From Vicky’s runaway sister Chanda, aspiring to be a heroine, to a love-struck inspector, and even comic criminals, the movie takes several humorous turns.
Though the movie starts strong with its humor and unpredictable moments, it falters in parts, with some scenes feeling disconnected from the main plot. There are unnecessary sequences, such as a horror scene in a cemetery, that seem forced and add little to the narrative. The revelation of the true villain, intended to add depth and social commentary, instead prolongs the film unnecessarily.
Despite these flaws, the film has its share of positives. Rajkummar Rao delivers a lively performance, showcasing his comic timing. Triptii Dimri shines with her expressive portrayal of Vidya, particularly in imaginative sequences. The supporting cast, including Mallika Sherawat, Archana Patel, and Vijay Raaz, also stand out in their roles, adding layers of comedy to the film.
While Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video could have benefitted from tighter editing, its humorous dialogues and lively performances make it an entertaining watch for those looking for light-hearted fun with a few unexpected twists.
