Exclusive – Vedaa: John Abraham’s Movie Yet To Receive Clearance From CBFC, Makers Issue Statement
The filmmakers of Vedaa, which features Sharvari Wagh and John Abraham, have declared that they are waiting for the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to provide their approval.

The producers of Vedaa, featuring John Abraham and Sharvari Wagh , recently stated that they are still to get a certificate from the CBFC thus making people unsure of when the movie will be released. Initially, the date of the film release was planned for August 15th.

Notably, the makers of the film took to social media and released an official statement on July 25 about the same. It said – ‘We the producers of Vedaa would like to convey to our well wishers & fans that even after trying our best, we could not get a clearance and certification from the CBFC of India. Stick to the procedures used and we applied for certification many months before the prescribed eight weeks to release. CBFC was shown our film on June 25th. After this, we were forwarded to a revising committee examining without any clarification of what the noble examining committee’s problem or apprehension was.
And ever since, we have waited all this while for a revising committee to be formed, continue reminding, nay pressuring, all respected and honourable office bearers and daily have been recording our appeal for certification, consideration or even an explanation. However for the very first time we have had this rather unusual delay we trust the system and believe that the CBFC will do so rightfully. ”
“It is our sincere appeal and aspiration that these words can be delivered to those who could help us unlock and break away from this stalemate and get our movie certified,” it further said, adding that August 15 is a significant date that the team is privileged to be in a position to release their movie to the fans of John Abraham and Nikkhil Advani who have watched and appreciated the team’s previous offerings, Satyameva Jayate
The final statement was, “Vedaa is a splendid, unabashedly entertaining movie for today.” We think it should reach its target public. In this matter, it is our earnest intention performance that it will be our privilege to be able to meet with you. Thank you. Zee studios, emmay entertainment, ja entertainment. ”
Directed by Nikkhil Advani, Vedaa also stars Tamannaah Bhatia, Abhishek Banerjee and Kshitij Chauhan.
