Customers have been waiting for much-long and at last ‘Turbo’ may go live on the OTT platform soon. Only alongside Mammootty, ‘Turbo’ also features Raj B. Shetty, Sunil and Anjana Jayaprakash as the main characters.

Reports suggest that ‘Turbo’, is set for a drop on SonyLiv in the first week of July 2024. Release of the official press about the digital copy of the movie still awaits.
The movie has elicited the story of a Jeep driver who finds himself in the wrong side of the law and is therefore transferred to Chennai. But it is not the end of the story with surprising events waiting for him in the city introducing Vetrivel Shanmugha Sundaram.
In an interview with OTTplay, famous Kannada actor Raj B Shetty, has discussed how people in Kerala have started appreciating Kannada cinema. He said, “According to me, the Kannada film industry still has a poor market reach even outside Karnataka, far from being good in Kerala.
That is why, to have many releases which can intrigue people and invite them to theatres, we need that. A successful movie places the industry in the limelight for sometime though it is for sometimes as well. Another view of a long successful run would be beneficial as it would present many actors, directors, technicians and the industry potential.
In terms of work front, Mammootty has also recently delivered two consecutive movies that have fared well at the box office. Last seen in the horror movie ‘Bramayugam’ he is a well known face in the Telugu film industry.
Thus, ‘Turbo’ also fetched a reasonable hit on the box-office cash registers despite the mixed reactions. It was released in 2008 and the movie grossed around Rs 70 crore at the international box office.
