Tragic Accident After Game Changer Pre-Release Event: Two Fans Die, Dil Raju and Pawan Kalyan Extend Financial Support
A night of celebration turned tragic as two ardent Ram Charan fans, Arava Manikanta (23) and Thokada Charan (22), lost their lives following the pre-release event of Game Changer in Rajahmundry on Saturday. The event, which featured prominent attendees such as Ram Charan and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, ended on a somber note when the young men were involved in a fatal accident while returning home.
The victims hailed from Gaigolupadu in Kakinada. At the time of the accident, they were cycling. A van coming from the opposite direction had hit them, and both have been pronounced dead even after treatment at Peddapuram Hospital. A case has been lodged with the Rangampeta police, and it is under investigation.
Dil Raju, the producer of Game Changer, has provided the bereaved families with financial aid in response to the tragic accident. The production house, Sri Venkateswara Creations, took to X, formerly Twitter and announced their support. “Producer #DilRaju garu announced ₹10 lakhs and assured support to the families of two people who lost their lives in a tragic accident following the #GameChanger event. Our deepest condolences to their families during these testing times,” the post read.

Dil Raju had expressed his sincere condolences through a public statement admitting the tragedy. “I came to know now that while going back after the event, two members have sadly passed away. This is indeed very sad,” he mentioned. Talking further about the episode, he recollected a conversation with Pawan Kalyan on the hazards of mass scale events. “Pawan Kalyan has flagged such incidents, but myself and Ram Charan felt that the event was important for the audience. We could not foresee this kind of a tragic end,” he added.

Raju has immediately forwarded Rs 5 lakhs to the family members and has assured his support will remain unabated. Pawan Kalyan, too, has come forward by stating an additional Rs 5 lakhs would be provided to each family, thereby pointing out the grief shared from the industry.
This is yet another tragic incident in the wake of another during the benefit screening of Pushpa 2, in which a stampede occurred, killing a woman, after the arrival of Allu Arjun. The actor has been released on interim bail as the court has ordered that legal proceedings should conclude.
Whereas the Game Changer was supposed to celebrate cinema and bring fans together, it has left a shadow of sorrow for the Telugu film industry. Fans and celebrities alike have cried for increased safety measures at such events in the future. As the industry grieves over the loss of two young lives, the emphasis is now on planning and crowd control better at fan gatherings.
