The Great Indian Kapil Show: Sunita’s conflict with Krushna and Kashmera

Archana Puran Singh recently revealed that her salary on The Great Indian Kapil Show is half of what other actors and comedians are paid. While during an interview on the Timeout With Ankit Podcast, Govinda’s spouse, Sunita Ahuja, expressed her desire to take over Archana’s role on the show.

Reason for not joining

When she was informed that she could rival Archana on the comedy show, Sunita laughed and confidently stated, “No one can outshine me on that show.” Kapil assured me they would select me, so I requested to remove Archana first.

Sunita was then questioned if she would accept the show if she received a concrete offer. She admitted that she doesn’t have a good relationship with Govinda’s nephew Krushna Abhishek and his wife Kashmera Shah, or else she would have done it. However, Krushna is alongside Kapil. If not for that, I would have been happy to do it. I live by a rule to never forgive someone for their wrongdoing, even if God told me to, I would still refuse to see them again.

Conflict with Krushna and Kashmera

In 2021, Govinda’s spouse Sunita criticized Kashmera, the wife of his nephew Krushna Abhishek. Sunita had subtly suggested that she was not a good daughter-in-law. This occurred following Krushna’s decision to not participate in The Kapil Sharma Show episode with Govinda and Sunita as guests. Afterwards, the ongoing family conflict was back in the news and to this day Sunita still steers clear of Krushna and Kashmera.
