Is Taylor Swift playing Lady Deadpool in the Deadpool & Wolverine?
A highly anticipated superhero movie for 2024 is Deadpool and Wolverine, starring Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds. Following the release of the movie’s teaser, fans started to conjecture that singer Taylor Swift will play the role of Lady Deadpool. The actor who plays Deadpool in the series, Ryan Reynolds, has now spoken out to dispel rumors that Taylor Swift would make an appearance in the next movie. “I will say once and for all that the cameo thing with Taylor, because she’s our friend, that is not in the film,” Ryan explained in an interview with E! News.

With her close association with Reynolds, Swift’s fan base, known as Swifties, has been speculating about Swift’s involvement, and the actor’s response seeks to dispel such rumors. Swift was not given a cameo in “Deadpool and Wolverine,” but Reynolds acknowledged her comic skills and hinted that she may be a good choice to take over Deadpool’s part if he were to pass it on. Reynolds said, “I always do say that actually Taylor would be very good if anyone were to take over the role of Deadpool. Because that’s a superpower that I don’t know that she shows everyone too often.” He remarked, “She’s one of the funniest people I’ve ever met.”

When Reynolds posted a “Deadpool and Wolverine” teaser that resembled Swift’s “Evermore” album cover, rumors about Swift’s possible role in the movie grew more intense. Swift also used Reynolds in the music video for “You Need to Calm Down,” and the “All Too Well” music video was recorded at Reynolds and Blake Lively’s home. On July 26, 2024, Deadpool and Wolverine will be released in theaters.
