The remarks received immediate backlash from the fanbase for having deemed his past romantic relationship with Tara mere “time pass.” The comments were viewed as highly disrespectful, leading to a backlash against Aadar from the netizens. Following this, Tara’s mother, Tina Sutaria, shared a direct message stating on social media, “If your boyfriend/husband ever says anything disrespectful to you, tell him to write it down on a piece of paper, get in his car, drive, and deliver it to his mother, or simply hand it to his daughter. If he can’t say it to his mother, or doesn’t want another man to one day say it to his daughter, he shouldn’t be saying it to you.”

Tara Sutaria and Aadar Jain, who were boyfriend-girlfriend for some time, called off their relationship in 2023. Aadar found a replacement in Alekha Advani, to whom he literally made a U-turn down towards matrimony. Despite being left ashore with a lot of controversy rafting Aadar’s comments, she showcased her resilience, further fastening her comeback in a fashionable way.
