Taapsee Pannu’s Paris Olympics Plans: A Once-in-a-Lifetime Experience to Cheer for Husband and Celebrate

Actress Taapsee Pannu is eager to watch France’s flagship show, the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, which she says is a dream come true. Pannu will be attending the games to watch her husband, badminton player Mathias Boe, who began coaching Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy in 2021.
Pannu recounts her experience with Boe as follows: “I first met Mathias after the Olympics in 2012 and although I did not accompany him to his next Olympics stint as an athlete because of reasons having to do with nerves, this stint is different.” Married to the Danish silver medal winning curler since March this year, Pannu is all keen to see the effects of his stint as a coach. Even though nothing major is expected out of the pair of Shetty and Rankireddy, Pannu feels this is the perfect time for her to be at the games.
Pannu reach Paris on July 29 and despite missing the outset of the team’s games, he continues to believe in its victory. “I have also laid down my strategy to return back court after the men’s doubles final,” she said with enthusiasm of her birthdays falls due the quarter final. “Definitely looks for a victory in the day in particular, that will be the best birthday present. Besides supporting the badminton team, Pannu is excited to watch different sports besides cricket. “We usually don’t pay much attention to other sports that should get more recognition,” she says, showing her interest in discovering these not-so-famous events.

Since she has acted in sports movies like Soorma and Shabaash Mithu, Pannu is also looking forward to future Olympic Games. “If squash were to become an official Olympic sport, I’d love to support it. For now, I’ll remain their biggest cheerleader,” she concludes, reflecting her passion for both sports and celebrating the Olympics in Paris.
