Stree 2 Cast Ends Credit Battle in a Hilarious Video, Declaring the Film Belongs to the Audience

Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s starrer horror-comedy Stree 2 turned out to be a massive hit at the box office. However, along with the blockbuster performance, there also lies a fun, light-hearted battle between the lead actors in the question of who can take credit for the movie’s success. This fun PR battle found itself steered towards social media and left fans amused.

To put an end to the discussion in the most entertaining way, the cast of Stree 2–Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana, and director Amar Kaushik–came together to shoot a fun video. The clip captures in a humorous manner the banter between them all claiming credit for the film’s success before finally arriving at the ending that has viewers smiling.

The video, posted on the official Instagram handle of Star Gold, shows the team engaged in a “roundtable” discussion regarding the film’s achievements. Amar Kaushik begins the speech acknowledging how much love has been poured into the movie, Stree. Just as he begins the path leading to success and achievements, Abhishek Banerjee, alias Jana in the movie, bites in and yells, “This is my film”, to kick off a series of hilarious interruptions.

Shraddha Kapoor bursts into laughter and confidently claims the film as hers: “Ye meri film hai” (This is my film). Not to be behind, Rajkummar Rao interrupts, “Bolne ki zarurat nahi hai, audience ko pata hai Stree 2 meri film hai” (No need to say, the audience knows Stree 2 is my film).

The whole fun continues with Aparshakti Khurana getting into the fray, thus turning the mock debate even more intense. In the end, Amar Kaushik just humorously points to himself, leading to laughter and agreement among all the actors in the matter that yes, the director also has a very relevant role in the film’s success. Mundan Abhishek Banerjee states, “Film toh director ki wajah se hi hai”.

All that back-and-forth also leads to a wholesome finality. They declare in one voice, “Ye picture humari picture nahi, ye aapki picture hai (This film is not ours but yours).” This heartwarming line establishes Stree 2 as the film that knows how to reach the audience who showered love and appreciation on it.

And the video went on to become a rage, collecting amazing responses from fans and celebrities alike. Actor Varun Dhawan went all, calling the clip hilarious, dropping in a laughing emoji in the comment thread. Fans rejoiced, with one commenting, “Soo sweet of you all-na teri na meri, audience ki film hai” (So sweet of you all-it’s neither yours nor mine, it’s the audience’s film). Another joked, “Agar humari hi picture hai toh 700 crore me se 10 lakh dedo mujhe” (If it’s our film, then give me 10 lakh from the 700 crore earnings).

Released in theatres on August 15, 2024, Stree 2 turned out to be one of the best blockbuster horror-comedies in recent times. For those who could not watch it in the cinema, they have the chance to take in its World Television Premiere on March 15, 2025, on Star Gold.
