Stree 2 is the new film by Amar Kaushik and is the part of the Maddock Supernatural Universe, which follows the successful horror-comedy Stree from 2018. The cast includes Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana as the friends in Chanderi who try to deal with a headless ghost called Sarkata who kidnaps women. Released in theatres on 15 August, 2024, the movie has already set the cash registers ringing at the box office, earning more than 851.03 crores worldwide, thus becoming the highest grossing Hindi movie of 2024.

Audiences are curious to know when they can watch Stree 2 at home. For the record, the original movie is streaming on Disney+ Hotstar, although, according to sources, the sequel is expected to be premiered on Amazon Prime Video. Even though a release date has not been confirmed, it is expected to be out on rental September 27. However, if the film stays strong at the box office, the digital release could be moved to October.

In Stree 2: Sarkate Ka Aatank, the story begins with the continuation of Stree where the people of the town come across the dreaded Sarkata. When Vicky, Bittu, and Rudra explore the town’s history of the murder, they turn to Stree for assistance to fight against the ghost. The climax of the movie is a battle, and the final scene shows Vicky and his friends as the victors. For those who want to watch a horror comedy, Stree 2 is expected to be entertaining—whether watched in a theater or at home.
