Reality shows are the favourite pastime of both the youngsters and the middle aged people across the world. It gives us the ordinary sense of glory and makes us feel that if they (the contestants) can do it then why can’t we?
But these supposedly ‘reality’ TV shows are not real at all as makers of the show try to create a lapse between what actually happens and what we see.
Following are the 5 shocking facts about your favourite reality TV shows:
1. AMERICA’S GOT TALENT
The winner of the show does not receive the cash prize i.e 1 million dollars immediately after the show ends. It is paid out to the winner over 40 years.
2. BIG BOSS
The romance shown on this reality show is not real but scripted. Actors are paid for doing such scenes. The famed wedding on the show of actors like Sara Khan and Ali Merchant is said to have taken place for a payment of 50 lakh rupees.

3. DANCING WITH THE STARS
If you all think that your votes really gets count then I am afraid to tell you that they don’t as the producers have the final say when someone is eliminated from the show and it depends entirely on how good they are for the ratings.
4. MAN VS. WILD
The protagonist of the show Bear Grylls is apparently given all the necessary facilities of a holiday like meals, hotel stays etc.
5. KEEPING UP WITH THE KADARSHIANS
‘Surprise’ proposals and break ups are usually filmed several times and are therefore not a surprise for the other person in real at all.
