Sobhita Dhulipala Opens Up About Her Wedding Plans with Naga Chaitanya, Embracing Telugu Traditions and Reflecting on Their Simple Yet Meaningful Engagement Ceremony

Sobhita Dhulipala has recently spoken about her engagement to actor Naga Chaitanya and how she is looking forward to adopting Telugu traditions for their wedding. In an interview with Galatta, Sobhita shared that she has a lot of love for Telugu culture and she wanted to celebrate it with energy and accuracy. She was keen to point out that when it comes to weddings, she likes to do it to the ‘hilt’ with ‘full zeal’ and get fully involved in the traditions that are associated with it.

When asked about her engagement that happened on 9th August 2024 in Hyderabad, Sobhita said that it was a very simple and close-knit affair with only family members present. She said she felt very happy with it because she does not think that special moments require ‘bling bling’ to be special. “I was there in the moment. It was relaxed, simple, sweet and perfect,” she said.

While talking about her marriage plans, Sobhita said that she would not like to compromise with the Telugu traditions. She explained the importance of two sarees in the Telugu weddings; the lagnam, a Kanjeevaram saree and the white saree with red border. Though the couple has not set a date for their wedding, Sobhita is ready for both the wedding and her films, with one of her films Love Sitara releasing on ZEE5 in September 2024.
