Sidhu Moosewala, Punjabi rapper-singer who was brutally killed in May 2022 was included in London Fashion Week 2024 in an incredible manner. As for the spectacular performance by Nebojsa fashion label, his favorite song “ 47” was played in the background as the models paraded on the stage.
The situation with the track Moosewala also contributed to the label, as it received only positive feedback on the Internet. The moment was captured in a video which Nebojsa uploaded in Instagram with the comment “For the culture…. “The viewers admired how high fashion and Moosewala’s music blended together. Some of the commendations that were made by the audiences included works so well and perfect for the runway referring to the perfect association of the song to the event. Another user appreciated the choice made in a laconic comment: “They have a good one,” and many others used fire emojis showing that people like the tribute in general.
Sidhu Moosewala, originally named as Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu was shot dead in Punjab’s Mansa on May 29, 2022. His death was another tragedy in the music industry and contributed to a lot of debate especially since his security was recently reduced. The case has witnessed Canada-based Goldy Brar and gangster Lawrence Bishnoi as narcotic and alleged murderers.
Moosewala’s untimely death may have cut short his career, but his work and legacy live on. Sidhu parents have recently been blessed with a baby boy whom they have named Shubhdeep in honour of Sidhu. It is in this fashion that his impactful presence is still being commemorated through homage such as the London Fashion Week tribute.
