Salman Khan Receives New Death Threat: Demands ₹2 Crore, Mumbai Police Investigates Extortion Case
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has reportedly received yet another death threat, raising his safety concerns. The sender, unknown to all, demanded ₹2 crore from the actor, claiming he would face dire consequences if the ransom was not paid. A message was sent on WhatsApp to the Mumbai Police Traffic Helpline number and has been registered as an offense by the Worli police against the unidentified person.

The arrest was made by the Mumbai Police of a 20-year-old man from Noida, Uttar Pradesh, who had sent a previous death threat to Salman Khan and NCP leader Zeeshan Siddique. Initially, the accused had sent a threatening message to Siddique’s helpline number, but later made a voice call and issued death threats to both Siddique and Salman Khan. The police has taken prompt action, using technical evidence to trace and catch the suspect in Noida, who is to be brought to Mumbai for further investigation.
Since the murder of his father, Baba Siddique, who was a three-time MLA and former state minister, in October, Zeeshan Siddique’s family has had to deal with heightened security concerns. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which has been accused of the crime, said it killed Baba Siddique due to his close relationship with Salman Khan. This only added to the threats to Salman Khan, as it further complicated the tensions.
Only last week, the Mumbai Police had arrested another youth from Jamshedpur in connection with a ransom letter worth ₹5 crore for Salman Khan in the name of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. There was a threat also mailed as a message to the Mumbai Traffic Police, following which they promptly launched an inquiry along with local authorities of Jamshedpur to identify the sender.
The police have been prompt in reacting to these incidents, yet Salman Khan‘s security situation remains a concern as such threats continue to be directed at him. The officials are doing their best to bring all those responsible to justice and ensure the actor’s safety.
