Salman Khan enhances Galaxy Apartment security with bulletproof windows, advanced systems after gangster threats escalat

Bollywood actor Salman Khan has upgraded the security measures at his residence, Galaxy Apartments, in Mumbai’s Bandra, following a shooting incident earlier this year. According to reports, the renovations include bulletproof windows, advanced security systems, and high-resolution CCTV cameras to monitor suspicious activity around the premises.

The enhancements were completed eight months after two men on a motorbike fired four shots outside the actor’s home on April 14. Salman Khan believes the attack, intended to harm him and his family, was orchestrated by gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.

Bulletproof Balcony and Security Upgrades

The actor’s balcony, a spot from where he greets fans, has been reinforced with bulletproof glass. Salman Khan resides on the ground floor of the building, while his parents occupy the first floor. These upgrades aim to provide additional protection amid ongoing threats to the actor’s safety.

Lawrence Bishnoi’s Involvement

Salman Khan suspects Lawrence Bishnoi, a jailed gangster, of masterminding the attack. Bishnoi has had longstanding animosity toward the actor stemming from the 1998 Blackbuck poaching case. The Bishnoi community considers blackbucks sacred, and the gangster has previously issued threats to Salman Khan.

The April 14 shooting was a serious escalation of these threats. Adding to the tension, former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique, a close friend of Salman Khan, was shot dead in October in Mumbai. Police suspect Siddique’s close ties with the actor may have motivated the attack.

Ongoing Investigations

Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother, Anmol, has also been implicated in the Baba Siddique murder case and is currently detained in the United States. Meanwhile, Salman Khan had earlier received a threat demanding ₹2 crore via WhatsApp messages sent to the Mumbai Police traffic helpline.

Increased Vigilance

Mumbai Police have increased security around Salman Khan and his residence. The actor’s efforts to fortify Galaxy Apartments demonstrate his proactive approach to ensuring the safety of his family and himself in light of these escalating threats.

The case remains under investigation as authorities continue to monitor the situation closely.
