Rozlyn Khan Criticizes Hina Khan, Claims Cancer Journey Is Being Overplayed

Rozlyn Khan accuses Hina Khan of exaggerating her cancer journey, calling it a publicity stunt and raising concerns about misinformation and public influence.

Rozlyn Khan Criticizes Hina Khan’s Cancer Journey, Accuses Her of Exaggeration and Spreading Misinformation

Hina Khan has made the headlines with open sharing of her cancer journey through social media, but Rozlyn Khan, who is also a stage 4 cancer survivor and an actress/model, attacked Hina for using the illness as a “publicity stunt” while exaggerating the entire experience. She recently said on News18, “There might be misinformation due to such posts.”.

Rozlyn Doubts Hina’s Claims

Rozlyn also doubted Hina’s words, including what she said about having a mastectomy for 15 hours. “Fifteen hours for a mastectomy is impossible,” Rozlyn said. Drawing from her personal experience, she explained, “My surgery lasted 8 to 10 hours because I was at stage four, and they removed 16 lymph nodes. That was a major operation. Hina hasn’t even clarified what type of surgery she underwent—was it an MRM or something else?” Rozlyn emphasized the importance of providing clear details about medical procedures, especially when addressing a public audience.

Accusations of Misinformation and Publicity

Besides asking how long Hina might take in the operating room, Rozlyn had questions as to how the actress was supposed to travel frequently during her treatment. “Chemotherapy patients are usually advised to avoid crowds because infection is a possible complication of the cancer treatment. And if people follow her example, they can suffer grave health problems,” Rozlyn said.

She criticized Hina for emphasizing her personal rather than teaching to educate people about different kinds of treatment: “She speaks more of herself rather than telling them her treatment. Such huge secrecy has triggered suspicions that actually may she’s at stage 3?” Added Rozlyn.

Pointing to the fact that no accountability is held when such medical misinformation is spread in India, Rozlyn said, “There is no law here to prevent people from misusing platforms to share inaccurate information about treatments. It’s disappointing and irresponsible.”

The Larger Picture

Rozlyn Khan’s perspective comes from her firsthand experience as a stage 4 cancer survivor, a journey marked with intense treatments and life-altering challenges. Meanwhile, Hina Khan, who went public with her cancer diagnosis in 2024, has been actively sharing her story with fans to shed light on personal struggles and resilience.

While Rozlyn’s accusations are creating controversy, they also reflect a more important issue of responsibility in the face of public figures speaking on sensitive issues like health. The debate is also concerning the balance between inspiring the public with personal stories and misleading them at the same time. As the discussion continues, it is a reminder of the power and responsibility of being in the public eye.
