Maharashtra Cyber Cell May Take Legal Action Against Ranveer Allahbadia Amid Allegations of Non-Cooperation in India’s Got Latent Controversy

Ranveer Allahbadia Accused Of 'Non-Cooperation', Cyber Police Likely To Take Legal Action - News18

BeerBiceps, a.k.a. Ranveer Allahbadia, has landed himself in deeper trouble as the Maharashtra Cyber Cell has accused him of alleged non-cooperation in the investigations related to the much-criticized show India’s Got Latent. As per fresh updates, legal proceedings against the YouTuber are most likely to be initiated for not appearing for the official summons.

Bitterness soon stemmed from the question Ranveer asked on the set of India’s Got Latent: a show that got lambasted for bad kind of humor. The specific question for which he has been condemned all over the country was, “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once to make it stop forever?” The internet couldn’t go easy on those laughing with him-Apoorva Mukhija and Ashish Chanchlani. Thus, FIRs were filed across India.

The Maharashtra Cyber Cell summoned those involved in the episode, among them, Samay Raina, Ashish Chanchlani, Ranveer Allahbadia, and Apoorva Mukhija, for questioning. While Samay and Ashish appeared, Ranveer and Apoorva didn’t show up; this was now flagged as non-cooperation, and the Cyber Cell is contemplating serious legal procedures against them for not appearing for the inquiry.

To pour further oil on the flames, the NCW decided to enter the arena branding Ranveer’s remarks vulgar while questioning the integrity of the show creators. The Supreme Court, while granting interim protection from arrest to Ranveer Allahbadia, did not critique him mildly. The apex court opined that his comments speak of a dirty mind and are a disgrace to societal values.

With all the backlash concerned, Ranveer made another social media post, this time with new podcast episodes. In a deeply felt video message, he spoke to the people of India about a second chance to redeem himself. “We will improve our podcast quality. Like always, four episodes will be released every week, focusing on India’s rich history, cultural stories, and personal growth,” he promised.

Meanwhile, Apoorva Mukhija also broke her silence about the incident, sharing the emotional and psychological toll it took on her. She revealed she had been receiving disturbing rape and death threats since the controversy broke. She spoke about dealing with sleep paralysis and severe anxiety, and how her close friends were her only source of strength during those dark times.

“Every day brought new fear. I would wake up to more news, more threats. I was scared to even sleep. My friends kept me grounded. I’m thankful for their support,” Apoorva shared.

With the case still unfolding, all eyes are on how authorities will move ahead. If the Cyber Cell decides to start proceedings, this could represent a further key turn for what is already one of the most widely discussed controversies within the digital influencer space.
