Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, the two star kids of Bollywood, rushed back to Mumbai after a quick trip to Alibaug to support their close friend Ayan Mukerji, who lost his father, Deb Mukherjee, last week. Mukherjee has apparently been very close to both then and by this point, in a time of sorrow, this couple rushed back to be with him as he had faced this enormous heartbreak.

Deb Mukherjee, the veteran actor, died on Friday, March 14, after completing 83 years of home of age-related health complications. He was a regular face on the Bollywood scenes, having been featured in some of the dramatic films such as Aansoo Ban Gaye Phool, Abhinetri, Do Aankhen, Baaton Baaton Mein, Kaminey, and Gudgudee. His contribution to Indian cinema has been carried over long after his lifetime, and his death has shaken the entire country with respect to his family and friends in the industry.

The timing of this tragic loss was so unfortunate, for just the day before, Ranbir and Alia had traveled to Alibaug to celebrate Alia’s birthday, which is on March 15. The couple canceled all their plans and returned to Mumbai to offer their condolences to Ayan’s father and to be present for their grieving friend in this unfortunate time. Ayan has always been a close friend, and they have always been emotional backs for him.

Renowned filmmaker Karan Johar also visited Ayan Mukerji’s residence to pay his last respects. As expected, the film industry is coming together in a show of strength to pay their tribute to the late actor, and several Bollywood big names are expected to be present at the final rites. Most likely to attend are Kajol, Ajay Devgn, Rani Mukerji, Tanuja, Hrithik Roshan, Sidharth Malhotra, and Deepika Padukone, along with her husband Ranveer Singh.

Deb Mukherjee’s last rites would take place today at Pawan Hans Crematorium in Juhu Mumbai in the hands of man. Such large numbers of stellar endorsements are a testament to the respect and honor given to Deb Mukherjee throughout his career. His demise has not just caused a void in Ayan’s life but also touched many hearts in Bollywood, remembering him for all he contributed to the industry.

The Ayan Mukerji directorial known for Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Brahmastra is now in the middle of shooting for War 2, a film associating the who’s who of Bollywood action heroes: Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR. Ayan will, however, complete this phase of the film before switching to pre-production of the much-awaited Brahmastra sequel since the tragic news has been quite painful to him. Ranbir Kapoor has recently confirmed that Ayan had been nurturing Brahmastra 2 as a dream project for a long time. Once War 2 is completed, Ayan will switch to the much-anticipated Brahmastra 2, and some big announcements are expected soon.

Ayan has lost quite a spectacular life at this time, but true friendship shown by people like Ranbir and Alia makes up for that, as the whole industry is with him in grief. In actual fact, despite the tragedy, Ayan would move on with his preparations for the release of Brahmastra 2, work on which has intrigued fans.
