Partner at MRT Music Naveen Kumar has filed a complaint against Shetty and his production company, Paramvah Studios, alleging that they used songs from the films Nyaya Ellide and Gaalimaathu without authorization. In March 2024, the movie Bachelor Party was made available on Amazon Prime. The actor and MRT Music had fruitless discussions in January 2024 on obtaining the rights to these songs.

According to officials, the Bengaluru Police have filed a FIR and are presently looking into the matter. Shetty has been given a deadline to provide his response to the matter. Renowned actor and filmmaker Rakshit Shetty is involved in Kannada movies. He has won two Karnataka State Film Awards in addition to one National Film Award.
