‘Kanchana 4’ Announced: Raghava Lawrence Returns to Direct and Produce
The scary and funny ‘Kanchana’ series is coming back for another round with the fourth part in it and the audience is waiting for such magic the same as before. The fourth consecutively instalment in the ‘Muni’ film series ‘Kanchana 4’ will be directed and produced by Raghava Lawrence, the man behind this franchise. This announcement has already elicited huge joy among the Kollywood stakeholders and other interested parties.
The ‘Kanchana’ series has garnered immense popularity over the years, especially among Tamil-speaking population and the Indian audience thanks to the commercially successful dubbed version. The franchise started in the year 2011 with creative direction from Raghava Lawrence who has maintained a streak of releasing a movie that comes with horror-comedy theme. The first movie received fairly good critiques by the viewers but more often was criticized by the movie critics thus becoming a hit and created a very good ground for the following films. The subsequent films can also be seen as provoking audience appreciation and critical box office returns.
A big update on ‘Kanchana 4’ comes up where they have stated that the shoot for the movie will begin in September. Despite these challenges, Lawrence wants to complete the production of the soap quickly. At the moment, he has other horror thriller known as ‘Benz’ which is scripted by Lokesh Kanagaraj and directed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan. People are quite hopeful about ‘Kanchana 4’ saying that it will be even better than the previous ones in the series.
Recalling the details of the distribution and success of ‘Kanchana 3’, the movie was released in the year 2019 and it was very much successful in earning a domestic net of approximately 98 crores and a gross of 15 crores at the overseas box office with a global total of nearly 131crores. This sets a high standard for its or the upcoming sequel of the same.

The movies that were released under the direction of Raghava Lawrence have had a mixed bag of successes and failures. They released ‘Jigarthanda DoubleX’ which had SJ Suryah with him, and the movie did fairly well grossing at around 65 crores worldwide. But ‘Chandramukhi 2’, did not get the same response as the first part to meet the expectations at the box office.
‘Kanchana 4’ is coming: Raghava Lawrence is prepared to take his rightful place at the pinnacle of horror-comedy films, and the audience can only look forward to the forthcoming spectacle.
