Dedicates Biography to Soldiers at GIEBA 2025 Re-Launch
Veteran Bollywood actor Prem Chopra marked International Women’s Day with a heartfelt tribute by re-releasing his biography, Prem Naam Hai Mera, Prem Chopra, in a special edition dedicated to the nation’s soldiers. The re-launch took place during the prestigious Global Iconic Business and Entertainment Award (GIEBA) ceremony in Mumbai on Saturday.
The biography, penned by Chopra’s daughter Rakita Nanda, was re-launched by Air Marshal Pawan Kapoor and Surgeon Vice Admiral Arti Sarin. As a special gesture, copies of the book were also presented to soldiers attending the ceremony.
Expressing his gratitude, the 89-year-old actor said, “I’m so proud that today on this stage, I met the army soldiers and Marshal Sahab who are protecting the country and presented them a copy of my biography. I salute these soldiers who have made an important contribution to the protection of the country by their sacrifice. I am happy that today I am dedicating my biography ‘Prem Naam Hai Mera’ to them.”
The GIEBA ceremony, known for honouring excellence across business, entertainment, sports, and social service, also paid tribute to the heroism and dedication of Indian Armed Forces officers and jawans. As a recognition of his invaluable contributions to Indian cinema, Prem Chopra was honoured with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award at GIEBA 2025.
Organized by Harsh Gupta and Sumit Kumar, the star-studded event witnessed the presence of several Bollywood luminaries, including Leena Chandavarkar and Farida Jalal, alongside renowned singers Udit Narayan, Meet Brothers, and Sudesh Bhosle. Industry veterans like Ila Arun, Pretty Pinky, and Rameshwari added to the grandeur, while rising star Simrat Kaur and accomplished actors Manish Wadhwa and Rahul Bhatt captivated the audience with their presence.
National Award-winning actress Kangana Ranaut and celebrated lyricist Prasoon Joshi were also among the esteemed awardees.
