His last rites were conducted at the Pawan Hans crematorium in Mumbai’s Santacruz area at 4:30 PM. In recent months, the actor had been hospitalized multiple times, highlighting the difficult health journey he endured.

Beyond his iconic role in Mahabharat, Pankaj Dheer had a prolific career in television. He featured in popular series such as Chandrakanta, The Great Maratha, Kanoon, and Sasural Simar Ka, leaving an indelible mark on Indian television. His filmography includes appearances in movies like Saugandh (1991), Sadak (1991), and Tarzan: The Wonder Car (2004), showcasing his versatility as an actor.

The funeral drew several eminent personalities from the entertainment industry. Bollywood superstar Salman Khan attended to pay his respects, alongside actor Sidharth Malhotra. Mahabharat co-stars Deep Dhillon (Jayadratha), Surendra Pal (Dronacharya), and Feroz Khan (Arjun) were also present, joining the grieving family in their farewell. Shahbaz Khan, Jaya Bhattacharya, Mukesh Rishi, and Kushal Tandon added to the gathering of notable figures who celebrated Pankaj Dheer’s life.

Industry representatives also participated in the last rites. BN Tiwari, President of the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), and Sushant Singh, Honorary Secretary of CINTAA, were present to pay tribute on behalf of the associations. Their presence highlighted the respect Pankaj Dheer commanded within the entertainment fraternity.
