Speculations about her appearance changes have circulated for some time, with fans and critics suggesting that she may have had cosmetic procedures. However, Nayanthara has now publicly refuted these claims, explaining that any changes in her appearance are due to natural weight fluctuations and not surgical enhancements.
In a conversation with Hauterrfly, Nayanthara, who starred in Jawan alongside Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan, explained how these rumors have taken on a life of their own. She pointed out that people assume she has altered her appearance because her face has varied over the years, particularly around her cheeks and eyebrows. “I take the time to perfect it because it’s the real game changer,” she said, referring to her commitment to her look. Nayanthara further explained that her face has gone through “different brow phases,” which might lead people to believe she’s had work done. But she clarified, “That’s not true. On record… not true.”

The actress went on to emphasize that her changing appearance is actually a result of her diet and natural weight shifts. “There’s been a lot of weight fluctuation, and my cheeks go in and out,” she shared. For those questioning her authenticity, Nayanthara humorously added, “You can pinch me, burn me, you’ll know there’s no plastic in here.”
Nayanthara’s journey in cinema began in 2003 with the Malayalam film Manassinakkare. She entered Tamil cinema with Ayya in 2005 and made her debut in Telugu cinema in 2006 with Lakshmi. Over the years, she has grown to be one of the most celebrated actresses in South Indian cinema, known for her performances in films like Anaamika, Maya, Kolamavu Kokila, Airaa, and Netrikann. Known for her strong, female-led roles, she has established a unique place in the industry and developed a loyal fan following.
Last year, she took a significant step by making her debut in Bollywood with Jawan, which received positive responses.
