Nawazuddin Siddiqui is one of the best actors presently in the industry today starring in films such as The Lunchbox, Gangs of Wasseypur, Kahaani, and Sacred Games. Nevertheless, the actor also complained of a lot of discrimination whereby he was type casted due to his appearance. During a recent interaction with News18, Nawazuddin said that he regards himself as the ‘ugliest’ of actors – physically – you could find within the sphere of Bollywood today, and explained why.

Introducing himself in the interview Nawaz revealed that everybody does not know why he hates some people using the format. Because this is the shape – or ‘face’ – that we wear, you know, we are such lowly worms. objectively it feels like this only when one sees himself in a mirror Humein bhi lagta hai jab apne aap ko aaine mein dekhte hai. Even we say to ourselves ‘why did you come to the film industry with such a bad face?’ (I don’t know why some people hate the way we look.Maybe it’s because we just are that ugly.Even I think so when I look in the mirror.I only came to the film indusrty with this bad appearance).
That is why he went on to say; “I am the ugliest actor – physically – in the film industry.” Main toh yeh maanta hoon, I am that someone who understands that. Kyun ki main shuru se yeh sab msunte aa raha hon aur abhi msnamaan bhi laga hon (This is why I’ve been listening to all this since the beginning and have started to accept it; I have no complaints about the film industry). Nawazuddin also said he is blessed to get the kind of roles he has been offered in his acting career.
HADDI is the last movie of Nawazuddin, released directly on the OTT platform Zee5. His last released show is Rautu Ka Raaz, which also premiered on Zee5 on June 28. The mystery drama is directed by Anand Surapur and casts Atul Tiwari, Rajesh Kumar and actor-dancer Narayani Shastri.
