Nargis Fakhri’s Sister Aliya Fakhri Accused of Double Murder in New York: Shocking Details and Legal Consequences

Trouble surrounding Bollywood actress Nargis Fakhri has added another sad and sensational aspect to this tale: her sister, Aliya Fakhri, has been arrested in New York for allegedly killing her ex-boyfriend, Edward Jacobs, and his female friend, Anastasia Ettienne. According to reports, the shocking incident was over a house fire that Aliya allegedly started, killing the two people.

According to local sources, jealousy could have been the reason for the crime. Aliya, 43-year-old, was said to be upset with Edward Jacobs’s closeness to Anastasia Ettienne. Early in the morning, she is said to have gone to Jacobs’s two-story garage property shouting menacing remarks, including, “You all are going to die today,” before setting the fire. The fire engulfed Ettienne and Jacobs, who was sleeping inside, before they succumbed to smoke inhalation and burns.

Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz also swiftly condemned the act. In her opinion, “it was simply a “heinous calculated attack.” She described it further as that this defendant maliciously took two people’s lives “by setting a fire which trapped a man and a woman in a raging inferno.”. His distressed mother made it known during a testimony that he was already apart from Aliya for the past year and has, since that time, always made endeavors to cut her off of his life. “He’s been telling her to leave him alone for a year now, but she wasn’t accepting the rejection,” she told the media.

However, Aliya’s family cannot even believe and accept the charge against her. Nargis Fakhri still hasn’t spoken a word on this issue, while their mother has been forth to defend Aliya’s character. Talking to the New York Daily News, she says, “I don’t think she would be killing someone. She was a person who was caring for everybody.”

Aliya Fakhri sits behind bars in New York City’s largest jail- Rikers Island. Without putting a price on her, she can now face up to a life sentence because if she is pronounced guilty of the charges against her. The case has disturbed everyone, from India all over the world, generally because the whole trial process is exposed.

This dark development has cast a shadow on the otherwise thriving career of Nargis Fakhri in this case getting much media attention. The case served as a grim reminder to the world of devastating effects of unresolved emotions and uncontrolled actions.
