Uttar Pradesh CM Adityanath Yogi is known for his strict and strong governance. Under his governance, the state has seen tremendous growth which inspired the Director Neeraj Sahai to bring this reality on screen. The film “The UP Files” will hit the big screen tomorrow.

The UP Files Press Conference

In a press conference held today at PVR Plaza, Connaught Place Delhi, Director Neeraj Sahai, Producer Kuldeep Umrao Singh Ostwal and Actor Anil George interacted with the media. Director Neeraj said “This film is not a biopic of CM Yogi but is inspired from him and his governance. He also highlighted that ‘the UP Files’ does not promote any political party and only focuses on what’s right according to our constitution. This film purely supports and promotes our constitution and fundamentals.

Neeraj Sahai adds that ‘he studied at Lucknow University in the ’80s and I remember the situation of UP at that time. Now when I compare the current situation with that time it has transformed completely. This is how I got the idea of the movie, discussed it with my producer Umrao Singh and we were on it then’.

The movie is not biased

A reporter asked the Director if the film is politically biased or inclined toward any party, and the director replied that the film is purely based on the good work done by the UP Government and did not support any political party. He said we had completely remained unbiased throughout the film and did not promote any ideologies of politics. The UP Files supports and promotes our constitution and the growth of the nation.

Director Neeraj said ‘No religions involved’

When a reporter asked the director if there was any religious side involved in the film as BJP is known for their ‘Hindutatv’ politics, he replied, “The UP Files only focuses on the development and growth of Uttar Pradesh under CM Yogi’s governance and not on any religious ideologies of the party. As I said earlier constitution is the base of the film, not politics.

Anil Goerge reveals about his character

During the interaction, actor Anil George reveals about his character that in the movie he is playing a character called ‘Abdullah’. He plays the negative part in the film as “Abdullah”, however, he does not reveal much about the character and says ‘go and watch the movie for more information’.

Film storyline

The movie is based on the story of CM Yogi and his governance. It is not a biopic but a reflection of his good governance and transformation of the state. CM’s Yogi character is named “Abhay Singh” and is played by actor Manoj Joshi.

Cast and crew

The UP Files features Manoj Joshi as Abhay Singh the lead character of the film. The other casts involve, Poonam Dwivedi, Ali Asgar, Anil George, Manjari Fadnnis, Aman Verman, Shahbaz Khan, Milind Gunaji, and Avtar Gill.
