The plot

The film, written by Anil Pandey, takes precautions to ensure it does not offend any religious sentiments. It follows the story of two young men, Hakim (played by Pawan Malhotra) and Saqib (played by Aamir Basheer), who are manipulated by a Maulana into carrying out a suicide attack at Mumbai’s Gateway of India as part of their Jihad. The Maulana convinces them that after their act, they will be rewarded in Jannat (heaven) where they will meet ’72 Hoorain’ and be accompanied by Allah’s angels.

However, upon their deaths, the truth they face is completely different from what the Maulana had promised. Their souls confront a reality that contradicts the Maulana’s words. Additionally, their families are deprived of the opportunity to conduct their funerals and offer namaz (prayer). The families believe that performing the funeral with namaz would open the gates of Jannat. As 169 days pass, the film explores what unfolds for the souls of these two Jihadis.

To find out what happens to the souls of these two characters, viewers will need to watch the film in cinemas.
Religion-based brainwashing highlighted:

Exceptional direction and cinematography:

Director Sanjay Puran Singh has skillfully executed the direction of the film, ensuring that each scene leaves a profound impact on the viewers. Some emotionally intense moments, such as a woman contemplating suicide and her mother explaining the gravity of the crime and its effect on the souls of suicide terrorists, are heart-wrenching. The depiction of a bomb blast scene is particularly gripping, capable of shaking the audience. The director’s dedication is evident in meticulously crafting each scene and frame, employing an engaging storytelling style that is bound to give viewers goosebumps.

Captivating black-and-white aesthetic:

One aspect that makes this film special for cinema enthusiasts is the utilization of black-and-white cinematography combined with impressive visual effects. While most of the film is presented in black and white, this creative choice adds to the portrayal of the wandering souls. Moreover, the performances of Pawan Malhotra and Aamir Bashir deserve recognition. The film revolves around these two actors, and they deliver stellar performances that elevate the overall quality of the film, setting a high standard for others to follow.
