The story

A Typical Bollywood Drama with a Heartwarming Story of Love and Redemption.

Namashi Chakraborty’s debut film, “Bad Boy,” brings back the 90s Bollywood feels with a typical story of a boy who is uneducated and does nothing for a living but possesses all the traits of a Bollywood hero. He saves a girl from villains, has a heart of gold, loves his parents, and helps others. The girl, on the other hand, is intelligent and wealthy and has a good heart.

The story revolves around the girl’s life, full of restrictions and unfulfilled dreams, and how the boy helps her achieve them, leading to a classic Bollywood-style love story. However, the girl’s father is not happy with the relationship and wants his daughter to break up with the boy.

And that’s how father becomes the villain of the movie and the movie ends with the classic climax of happily ever after.

What We Liked

In addition to the good acting from the main leads, the supporting actors in “Bad Boy” also delivered commendable performances. Their comedic timing and delivery of dialogues added to the film’s overall humor and light-heartedness.

The main female lead, Amrin Qureshi, worked amazingly well in the movie. She portrayed her character’s intelligence and good-heartedness flawlessly and shared great chemistry with Namashi Chakraborty. Their on-screen pairing was one of the film’s highlights.

Moreover, the movie’s songs were not very cliche and added to the story’s progression. They were well composed and placed appropriately in the film, making them enjoyable to watch and listen to.

Overall, “Bad Boy” is a good debut for Namashi Chakraborty, with great supporting actors, good songs, and a commendable performance by the main female lead. While the story may be typical Bollywood, the movie’s humor and heartwarming story make it a pleasant watch.

Our Take

Despite its slow pace, the movie’s strongest aspect is its sense of humor. Although some of the jokes are cringe-worthy, the new and humorous punches make up for it. The acting from both main leads is good, but there is a pinch of overacting here and there.

In the end, “Bad Boy” is a lighthearted movie that you can watch with your family. The film’s heartwarming story of love and redemption will win you over, despite the typical Bollywood drama. Overall, I would give this movie 3 stars out of 5.
