Himani Mor, a tennis player, hails from Larsauli, a village in Haryana. She shares a connection with Sonipat, having attended Little Angels School, the same institution as tennis player Sumit Nagal. Himani’s journey in sports and academics is as inspiring as her husband’s accomplishments on the track.
Himani is an emerging talent at tennis, participating in the national-level All India Tennis Association since 2018. Her efforts paid off, and she found herself in her career-best singles national ranking at 42 as well as at 27 doubles. Outside the athletics, Himani is an equally brilliant student. She did a Bachelors degree in Political Science and Physical Science from Miranda House, Delhi University before attending the United States for higher studies.
In the U.S., Himani continued to flourish academically and professionally. She pursued further studies at Southeastern Louisiana University and worked part-time as a Volunteer Assistant coach for tennis at Franklin Pierce University. She is currently pursuing a master’s in sports management and administration at McCormack Isenberg School of Management.
Himani likes tennis so much that she is the graduate assistant at Amherst College, overseeing the women’s tennis team. She is responsible for training, scheduling, recruitment, and handling the budget. Such a balance between sports and academics speaks to her dedication and passion for her field.
His brother, Himanshu, is also a tennis player. Therefore, the sport seems to be part of their blood. Her marks in both tennis and education will continue, but her marriage to Neeraj Chopra brought her to limelight.
