Maheep Kapoor: never imagined marrying the man I had a one-night stand with
Maheep Kapoor, recognized for her honest nature and confident allure on Netflix’s Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, has been a member of the show since it premiered in 2020. Spouse of actor Sanjay Kapoor. Although the show focuses on her glamorous life and career ambitions, her unusual romance with Sanjay was not well-known until recently.
First meeting with Sanjay
Maheep appeared on Raunaq Rajani’s YouTube show to talk about the unique beginning of her 30-year relationship. “Our situation was pretty straightforward.” I never imagined marrying the man I had a one-night stand with. She confessed: “I crashed his party and that’s where we first met, completely intoxicated, recalling the night we first encountered each other.” Their love story, born from a chance meeting, did not follow traditional customs such as formal declarations of love or extravagant displays of affection.
Maheep reflected on how Sanjay proposed, or rather didn’t propose, by saying, “We didn’t go through all that proposal stuff.” I am considerably more senior than you. We lacked Instagram. Therefore, we didn’t care at all. He simply informed me, ‘Look, we are getting married.’
Sanjay’s Proposal
Describing their nightclub proposal at the iconic 1900s in Colaba, she depicted a simple and straightforward moment. In the 1900s, we found ourselves at a nightclub in Colaba Taj. We were drunk. We were celebrating. He agreed, ‘Alright, we’re tying the knot.’ I responded with, ‘Sure, no problem,’ while taking my tequila shots. That’s all. “We didn’t kneel down for Instagram or make a proposal speech,” she joked.
Life after marriage
When questioned about their relationship dynamic after thirty years, Maheep provided a refreshingly truthful point of view. When Raunaq jokingly inquired if they still hug, she cleverly replied with her usual humor, “Are you out of your mind? After 30 years of marriage, you don’t cuddle. You just fall asleep. Maheep also discussed the solid basis of their relationship, which was established through five years of courtship before tying the knot.
