Thalapathy Vijay’s latest movie, ‘Leo,’ box office collection Day 4 on fire in the film industry, steadily approaching the impressive 450-crore rupee mark. On Sunday, October 22, the film managed to rake in an estimated 49 crore rupees in India. Despite receiving mixed reviews, ‘Leo’ is proving to be a commercial success, bringing joy to director Lokesh Kanagaraj and his team.
The much-anticipated ‘Leo,’ starring Thalapathy Vijay and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, hit theatres in multiple languages on October 19, 2023. According to Comscore, the film has already crossed the 400 crore rupee mark globally, equivalent to 48 million dollars. Trade analyst Sreedhar Pillai shared these impressive numbers on X (formerly Twitter).

Leo Enjoys an Outstanding Sunday.
Sunday turned out to be a remarkable day for ‘Leo’ at the domestic box office. Early estimates suggest that the film earned nearly 50 crore rupees. In Tamil Nadu, it raked in around 28 crore rupees, while in Kerala, it collected 8 crore rupees. The film also performed well in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh-Telangana, with earnings of 5 crore rupees and 4 crore rupees, respectively. According to Sacnilk, the Return on Investment (ROI) grossed an impressive 4 crore rupees on October 22.
What’s even more noteworthy is that ‘Leo’ is not just conquering India; it’s also making a significant impact in the international market.

‘Leo’ represents the second collaboration between Thalapathy Vijay and director Lokesh Kanagaraj after their previous success with ‘Master.’ The film’s screenplay was crafted by Lokesh, Rathna Kumar, and Dheeraj Vaidy. The action-packed entertainer features a stellar cast, including Vijay, Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Mysskin, Sandy, and Gautham Menon in pivotal roles. Supporting roles were played by actors like Mathew Thomas, Mansoor Ali Khan, Priya Anand, and many more.
